Did you intend to mention the book? Tell us, will help accordingly! The adapted version has the chapters mostly that is there in the JEE Syllabus. The original one has too many topics that aren't there in the JEE. If you find that some chapters aren't there in the Syllabus than you can leave them out. But before reading the JD Lee read the ncert, so that it would easy to understand what is being said. Lee is just an extension of the ncert. There could be a bit of extra portions in the chapters which are in the course too.
SO doing ncert and then skipping extra topics from jdlee is a cool idea.
